MISSED DOSE
What they don’t say,
Is when you miss a dose one day,
That you instantly feel it,
That words become too hard,
That your heart is heavy,
And you don’t know where to start,
That everything turns grey,
Even small things are too much,
That you can’t get out of bed,
That you cry way harder than at the start,
You wonder if it will get better,
But your brain knows too much,
Everything is a disappointment,
And life isn’t worth a thing,
It takes a while,
Before you believe,
Believe that anything is worth it,
That you need to feel a smile,
That maybe one day,
Things won’t be so hard,
That your hope may be worth it,
That others would miss you if you go,
That the leap is hard to take,
You want to let go,
There’s got to be something,
You just know it,
Where is the light?
You’re standing on shaky ground,
All you see are shadows deep inside,
If you blink harder,
You might see the light,
But you live in fear,
That the light is not what it seems,
Your sight is tainted, and warning bells constantly ring,
Can happiness actually be achieved?
Or is that something that only exists in movies?
