I wish I were hallucinating, but it’s true… Shadows Book 2 is almost finished! While I’m excited about how quickly the story has developed, I don’t want it to end just yet. I’m trying my best to find a way to add a couple more chapters. I started writing this book several months ago, but paused as I approached the timeline of book 1. Since the early chapters are set months before the events of the first book. However, I only started working on it full-time this month.
I’ve become incredibly attached to these characters. I’m considering compiling a series of short stories centered on them. This would allow me to keep writing about these characters beyond the main series books.
Right now, book 2 seems likely to be shorter than the first. I hope to increase the word count during editing. I’m currently working on chapter 10, and unless I have a sudden insight, I expect to write about three more chapters.

There’s definitely more sex scenes in this one.
The overall plot is sadder, but there’s plenty of nice cozy moments to balance it out.
Overall, this story feels different because it shows the moment the characters meet and how their relationship develops.
Since these characters didn’t have a mission, they have more backstory.
A new side character is introduced in this book, and it’s still undecided whether they’ll join the “Shadows Crew”.
