Since January 1st, I’ve been busy writing Shadows Book 2. I’ve added to the word count almost every day this year. Now, Shadows Book 2 is just over 39,000 words. It is rapidly growing. This story has been flowing exceptionally well to the point that I haven’t read a single book since the new year began. The goal is for the story to reach approximately the same length as Book 1. However, anything can happen at this point.

While writing the other day, I was inspired with an idea for Shadows book 3, and I think I’m officially going to pursue it. I’m hoping to get some plotting done for it while I finish writing book 2. My writing approach is often chaotic, with either no plotting or intense plotting for specific chapters. This journey is sure to be unpredictable.

I will give a few hints for what I’ve got going on though for Shadows book 3.

Book 3 will once again focus on the entire group. This time, however, Grant will have a connection to the building they are investigating. The building’s backstory will be darker than that of Blackwell Asylum and will definitely include more horror.

After years of writing, I’ve never had stories that flowed so easily. Here’s to hoping the Shadows series keeps growing.
